My kids play soccer, and their spring season is finally over!
My daughter's team had their tournament a couple of weekends ago, but they were unable to compete in the semi-final.
My son's was last week/weekend - The first game was a tie game, and the second one we won!
On the semi-final we... lost... but it was a GREAT game and we, all of the parents, really enjoyed so much!
When the game was over, some kids were upset and some were crying.
My son...? Yes, he was pretty upset like this.
But, after playing with his teammates and their siblings for a little while, everyone was smiling again!
My kids and their teammates played very well this season, and of course thanks to their coaches :-)
I will take a little break for this summer, and drive back and forth again between soccer fields and home for them this fall - - - Yup, that's what moms do :-)

Oh, goodies (^^)
We have just received a box full of goodies from Japan!
Thanks, mom and sis :-)
I usually go to a Korean supermarket called "H-Mart" to get some Japanese stuff when I need, but some items are very pricey. It's like we pay about $3.00 for the thing I could get $1.00 in Japan.
Every time we receive a box like this from my family in Japan, my daughter says:
"I want to move to Japan!!!!"
Yup, I do too, girl :-)

A new pair of soccer cleats
Last Thursday at my son's soccer practice,
one of his teammates kicked his ball over the fence
so my son went to look for it for him.
He found it in a small creek by the practice field.
He, of course, went in and got it,
BUT his soccer cleats were soaking wet!!!!
He didn't tell me this until after the practice...
"Mom, my cleats make squishy noise!" - I bet they do :-(
At home, he told me that the cleats smalt AWFUL.
Yes, they are!!! They smelt like... a cat peed on them (really)
I washed them with a brush... but no luck on that...
So, we decided to buy the new ones.
My son is only 9 years old, but his feet are as big as my feet.
We figured that he won't be able to wear the smelly cleats
at the next season anyway.
So, we went to Sports Authority yesterday (with a coupon, of course!)
before his practice.
My son found a pair of cleats he likes, and he tried them on.
Those were size 6 Youth.
A guy at the store told us that my son should try a little larger size
so we look for them in an adult shoe section.
He tried size 7 Adult - those fit great.
It's just...
that the adult size shoes were 15 dollars more than the youth ones.
They are just little bit larger... man.
Well, my son was happy, so it all the matter, right?
(not really, but I guess...)
Here are the brand new cleats - shining!
Soon after the practice started, here comes rain...
1.5 hours later ... those look like this...
Oh, boy...

Hi there!
Welcome to my brand new blog!
My name is Ayako I am originally from Japan, and I've been living here over 19 years (wow, already?)
I work full-time in Midtown Atlanta, and of course I am a full-time mom as well. My husband and I have two kids - 15 years old daughter and 9 years old son. They enjoy playing soccer right now, and they are the sweetest kids that I know - for the most part :-)
On this blog, I will just write about anything - kids, sewing, and couponing!
Well, let me tell you about my husband... He is so into couponing right now and it's not even funny anymore!
We started couponing about one month ago (after watching TLC's "Extreme Couponing"), and I just wanted to save some weekly grocery bill, but HE has started building his stock pile, like other couponers!
I remind him every weekend that we DO NOT NEED TO BUY anything that we don't need just because they are free or close to free, but he has the URGE to buy those things...
Well, I am certain that you will hear about that soon. (like we already have many dental floss and toothpaste in our garage - LOL)
I am not sure who would enjoy reading my blog (really), but I wanted to start another one. I actually have been blogging on Yahoo Japan (in Japanese), but I thought that it would be fun to have one in English so that my husband (and maybe my daughter) could read what I write about them (good or bad).
Enjoy the rest of your after noon!
Ayako
